As home prices rose, condo sales picked up. Note also that new construction sales peak every December. Presumably, builders try really hard to hit those end-of-year sales quotas.

Buying tip: Builders are more likely to cut you a bargain if you close escrow in December (November offers). So November could be the best month to buy from a new home builder.
Seller tip: Expect to have more competition in November, as builders lure buyers with specials.
